Minnesota Manufacturers need skilled workers. Fairmont Area Schools are COMMITTED to provide a quality learning experience for students and adults as they prepare for a skilled job in welding. We will host a 60 hour welding course to teach essential welding skills.
One high school credit will be earned for students in grades 9-12. The class will be capped at 20 welding students. Preference will be given to current high school students first. There is an enrollment fee of $400 for all adults and students from districts outside of Fairmont Area Schools. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end if the student passes the welding tests. You will develop skills in GMAW joint welding in the flat position, horizontal position, vertical position and some overhead positions. You will also have the opportunity to SMAW (STICK) weld.
Contact Instructor: Bob Bonin Jr at bbonin@fairmont.k12.mn.us if you have any questions about the course. ALL students regardless of your school need to register at the same email.
Adults can register through CER on the webstore or by calling 507-235-3141
