Create your own baseball cap - Join our engaging adult class where creativity and style come together! Learn the art of burning intricate designs onto hats, transforming them into unique, wearable works of art. Bring your own design ideas to class and the instructor will guide you through every step, from developing your concept to completing the final burn, ensuring each hat is a true reflection of your personal style. Whether you're an experienced artist or just beginning, the instructor offers stencils and tracing options to help bring your ideas to life. Enjoy a fun, relaxed environment as you explore your artistic side and create a one-of-a-kind hat that’s uniquely yours!  The instructor will have a variety of color options.  Class end time may vary depending upon the complexity of the project.

Hat Burning Class Waiver and Release of Liability

 1. Assumption of Risk - I acknowledge that participating in a hat burning class involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of burns, injuries, or damage to property. I understand that handling burning tools and materials carries a risk of accidents and injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this class.

2. Release and Waiver -  In consideration of being permitted to participate in the hat burning class, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless Fairmont Community Education and Recreation, its affiliates, instructors, and any other persons or entities acting on their behalf, from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur as a result of my participation in the class.

3. Disclaimer of Responsibility - I understand and agree that Fairmont Community Education and Recreation is not responsible for any misuse of the burning tools provided during the class. It is my sole responsibility to use these tools in accordance with the safety instructions provided and to exercise caution at all times. I accept full responsibility for any damages or injuries resulting from the misuse of the burning tools.

4. Safety Compliance - I agree to adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by the instructor during the class. I will follow all safety protocols to the best of my ability and will promptly notify the instructor if I have any concerns or questions about safety procedures.

5. Medical Conditions - I certify that I am in good health and do not have any medical conditions that would impair my ability to participate in the hat burning class. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician before participating if I have any health concerns.

6. Acknowledgment - I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver and release of liability. I understand the risks involved in participating in the hat burning class and agree to all terms stated herein.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be given when CER cancels a class. If you cancel your registration BEFORE start date a refund for the class, less a $5 processing fee and any material costs incurred will be provided.  No refunds will be given on or after the class/event start date.

Refunds will be made only under the following conditions:

    1. If your class is filled to capacity before your registration is received.

    2. If your class is cancelled by CER.

    3. If you cancel your registration BEFORE start date, A refund for the class, less a $5 processing fee and any material costs incurred will be provided. No refunds will be given on or after the class/event start date. 



Registration Policy

Pre-registration with full payment is required, unless otherwise noted. Class sizes are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Most registration deadlines are one week before the start of class. Decisions on whether to hold the class are made on the registration deadline date, so please register early!  Registrations preferred online at www.fairmont.k12.mn.us/o/cer, in person at the CER office, 115 South Park Street, Suite 131, or by phone (507)235-3141.
