The class is a one day review and riding performance course. Students must complete the online course:Official Minnesota Snowmobile Safety Course | SNOWMOBILEcourse.com (fee for the course is $29.95). Once they complete the online course, students print out a "youth follow-up voucher" and bring along with a copy of their birth certificate. Students will not be allowed to participate in the classroom review/performance test unless you have first completed the Online Snowmobile Safety Course. Parent or guardian must accompany youth to sign the waiver. Each student must have proper attire: helmet, gloves, snow pants, jacket and boots. A snowmobile will be available. Youth must be 11 years old by the date of the class attended. All residents of Minnesota born after December 31, 1976, MUST have a snowmobile safety certificate to operate a snowmobile in Minnesota. This youth Snowmobile Safety class is sponsored by Minnesota DNR, Fairmont Community Education & Recreation and the Blizzard Snowmobile Club.
